MatterArc is deployed on a workspace basis under a written agreement with your organization. Each workspace is configured around your organization’s standards, guidance, templates, review criteria, and branding before your team begins working in it.

Yes. Configuration around your organization is the deployment model, not an add-on. Workspaces are set up with your instructional standards, style and terminology guidance, document templates, and review requirements, and Arc applies them across drafting, review, and export.

Your organization does. Course materials, uploaded documents, standards, and other workspace content belong to the organization that provides them. Data ownership is described in the Privacy Policy and governed by your organization’s agreement.

MatterArc data is hosted in the United States, and MatterArc is built and operated from our offices in Texas. Dedicated environment options are available for deployments with specific hosting or isolation requirements, and can be discussed as part of your organization’s agreement.

No. MatterArc does not train AI models on your content. Arc processes workspace content only to produce the responses your team requests, and the AI providers powering those features operate under commercial terms that do not permit your data to be used for model training. Your content stays your content.

Access is limited to users authorized by your organization. Each workspace carries its own membership, roles, and administrative settings, and workspace administrators manage who can join and what they can do.

Every member of the MatterArc team is a certified DHS Trusted Tester, qualified to evaluate digital content for Section 508 conformance using the federal government’s standardized test methodology. Conformance review happens throughout development. Read our Accessibility Statement or contact us for current conformance documentation.

Yes, that is one of the platform’s core jobs. The Accessibility Dashboard makes Section 508 review visible across a course, flags issues such as missing alternative text, and supports remediation inside the development workflow rather than as a separate pass at the end. If your organization needs Section 508 review or certification services beyond the platform, Special Project Factor, the team behind MatterArc, provides those services directly.

Organizations with formal review obligations can request accessibility conformance documentation through the contact page, including an Accessibility Conformance Report prepared by our DHS-certified Trusted Testers.
